Toni García+Yolanda Somoza architects
On October 28, 2011 we participated in the fifth PechaKucha Night held in Ferrol. In the following video you can see the presentation, with part of the latest architecture and urban planning projects of our architecture studio. In it we proposed a reflection on the transformation of cities and the territory over which they extend unlimitedly. Using a sequence of projects from urban regeneration to environmental rehabilitation, we can see how by regenerating, reusing, rebalancing, taking advantage of the resources we have, and containing growth, we can propose another different and more sustainable development model.
Pecha Kucha Night is a meeting present in more than 200 cities around the world, created in Tokyo with the idea of bringing the work of new creatives closer, and that informally allows the exchange of ideas about architecture, design, photography, illustration, cinema, dance or any type of artistic or scientific research.
Thanks to Santi for having invited us, for the dedication that he and his collaborators put into the organization, and for the commitment to holding events like this, which help create opinion and exchange information.
